For the past few months, the Galician town of As Pontes in north-west Spain has been advertising its annual grelo festival, held every February to celebrate the local specialty that is similar to spinach.

But after using Google Translate to convert the Galician word grelo into Castilian Spanish, it has instead inviting people to take part in an entirely different event, the Guardian reported.

The town's "Feria do grelo" festival became "Feria clítoris" in Spanish, the Guardian said.

It said the translated announcement read: "The clitoris is one of the typical products of Galician cuisine. Since 1981 ... the festival has made the clitoris one of the star products of its local gastronomy."
