absolutely agree with Kev and that would be Mongo's first choice if it were a real choice possible of being offered. Mongo put that as second choice only because it is even more remotely possible that the fairytale 300-600mm but there is no doubt if lens manufacturers were listing that Mongo would scream prime 500mm f5.6. You can just image how light and small it would be with that much less glass and today's technology.Don't know about second best.
