    Taronga zoo Sydney

    Hi All,

I'm looking to visit Taronga zoo in August, looking at the last Saturday of the month (the 29th)

Would be nice to meet a few others if anyone is interested?

Possibly, any particular animals or shots you are hoping to achieve?

If we have a group I'm happy to go with the flow. I haven't been there since I was very young so I don't know my way around at all.

Well following the feeding schedule usually means getting more activity in the shots, especially for the large carnivores, id like to lug along the sigmonster setup and spend more time at the Primates, big cats, condors, lemurs and meercats fyihttps://taronga.org.au/taronga-zoo/events-and-timetable

Sounds good to me, those are pretty much the highlights of what I was hoping to see. I had not considered any birds, but keen to check out the Condors as well.

Is the feeding schedule just the keeper talks?

No, they feed all the animals, some get fed multiple times, some once.... you can find out more on arrival.

FYI the Skysafari / Gondola will be closed that weekend.

You can download a *pdf of the site. I would suggest starting at the main entrance and working down the hill...

    Good to know, thanks.

I hadn't planned on using the skysafari / Gondola so not too worried about it though it would have been nice to check it out, next time perhaps.

Now remember Mongo, it's not a supermarket, the animals are only for looking at. No touching or eating! ;-)

I have just found out today that some business associates are coming to Sydney on Saturday and I need to meet them at the airport and have a meeting on Saturday. So, unfortunately, I have to pull the plug. I am very sorry that I cannot make it as I was looking forward to it.

If you make it, I'll likely be the guy lugging around a canon 200-400 with a black Gura Gear back pack.

    Actually, I've lost track.

How many are there now coming, Morgo?

(I can't make, it, , as Saturdays are wipe-outs for us.)
