    Muslin Backdrops

I have just received three Muslin backdrops, (White, Black and Green).

I have tried everything I can think of to eliminate the creases in them caused by storage.

I have tried the hot water spray, and the steam but nothing seems to work.

I currently have them rolled up for a few days to see if that will help to get rid of them.

I am nervous about ironing them, don't want to melt them.

What do others do to overcome this problem?

    Regards

    Barry H

What are they made of? If they are truely muslin, they should be pure cotton and ironing them is probably the best solution.

There should be no problem ironing them unless they are flimsy plastic. Just put the iron on the lowest heat setting and work up from there. Test it on a corner of the fabric first. Put a cloth between the iron and the backdrop when ironing, to protect it even more. If they are pure cotton, the iron will need to be fairly hot. Use the steam setting on the iron, or damp the cloth between the iron and the back drop.
