    Inactive returning members

    Welcome back everyone.

Please note that we are assessing each of you as you come back and upgrading your photographic experience levels. So if you joined as a beginner 12 months ago, but have not posted much since and now start posting, you will be upgraded to intermediate level. Or if you joined as intermediate, you will be upgraded to advanced.

Yes, we are making the assumption that you have been learning more about photography during your time away from Ausphotography. Our experience levels are primarily used to allow you to enter our competitions with other members who have similar skill levels. So by upgrading you as you return we are ensuring a more level playing field in our competitions. Note that if your future posts/photos are deemed to be above the level we have adjusted you to, we may upgrade you even further.

So welcome back, join in and see you on the forums.

Understand all of that thanks Rick. But, dude...that new avatar is seriously freaky. I am certainly hoping that it is not a "portrait of who (you) are", as per your signature line.

Ha ha, I reckon my skills might have deteriorated from advanced to intermediate from lack of practice over the past couple of years! I'm hoping to carve out a bit more photo time for myself going forward and get back in the groove.

Can I start posting rubbish photos (not that I don't already) so that you can downgrade my skill level?

haha. The avatar was a dare. I had the googly glasses from a fancy dress party and it was suggested I look like a minion and that I should photoshop myself into one.. So I did!

"Minions"- Single-celled yellow organisms from the dawn of time (thanks Professor Google). Minions live to serve but find themselves working for a continual series of unsuccessful masters.

Geez, Rick. I knew that that this was a tough gig running this web site but didn't realise that it was that tough.

You can start posting rubbish photos, whether that results in a downgrade will be under advisement.
