    Tapa talk

Every time I use my iPad to access AP I get ads asking me to use Tapa talk..... What is it and do I really need it? Things seem to work quite well without it.
    Thanks.

    It is an App.

We run both tapatalk and forumrunner App software on the site server. These Apps are designed to make using the site on a phone etc easier. It is entirely up to you if you install one of them or not.

    Thanks.
I find Tapatalk better on a phone, as it's much clearer/easier to use. On an iPad, if you're happy as is don't bother (IMHO).

I did once, but it's ok, I've got a 27" WQHD screen coming from Dell next week and will only be using this from now on.

Yes they do. Though I tend to use my phone/tablet as a more admin role device. I cannot recall ever giving CC from them.

Some stats: (for the last 30 days)

    Apple iPad: 1681 (access sessions)
    Apple iPhone : 1204
    Unknown mobile device: 684
    Samsung Galaxy S4 : 143
    Samsung Galaxy S5 : 101
    Samsung Note 10.1: 70
    Samsung Galaxy Note 3 : 57

In total 4,930 access sessions were on either phones or tablets in the last 30 days. Total access sessions 23,529, so 20.95% of all site access were done on a mobile device over the past 30 days. And just for interest 18,322 of those were Australians, the rest were from other countries.

it is an issue where photos are linked in from elsewhere, the tapatalk plugin doesn't seem to like them

This also happens to me on my iPad when viewing images through the regular website. Are there any settings I need to change?

Should not happen on a tablet generally. Have you tried a different browser App to see if it is related to the App you are using

download the firefox app or chrome app and see if it works in those. 1, if it does, then it's a safari issue. 2. if they all do the same thing, it could be an ipad setting or it could be an AP site issue, or something else. But by a process of elimination we work out what it isn't.

Rather interesting that about 22% of the total access was from overseas. Hmm, who is watching us ............ ???????
