    Stunning Platypus footage

A Tasmanian photographer was out taking photos and video near Hobart and he heard a rustling in the grass nearby, thinking it would be a lizard, he turned his video camera on and captured some truly amazing footage of a platypus walking across a paddock between two creeks

And not shy either. They are so hard to catch in water cause they spook at the first sight of something odd (humans) or unfamiliar noise. Whereas this fellow seemed to not care one bit that a photographer human was tracking him.

Great footage. Very lucky "shy" for sure. I was wading/fishing in a creek in the Glen Huon area when one swam past me, down stream and then up. It seemed very curious.

Amazing footage - I've only ever seen them in water and very shy and hard to get a good photo of. Glad it was a photographer who knew how to turn on his video, it would have been in the water by the time I worked out how to do that.

Interesting, at 2:55 it looks like it is transparent, anyone else see that ?
I havevnt seen a platypus in the flesh for a very long time, late 70's at David Fleys park ing the Gold Coast , but it forgot how flat they are.
