Just received an email telling me that if I buy a 14-24, a 24-70 or a 70-200 from a Nikon authorised Australian dealer between 12th Dec and 15th Dec they will give me $500.00 back. It might be helpful for some, all you have to do is be a "My Nikon Life" member.

I received that too. Wish as a hobbyist I could justify the cost of some of the better Nikon lenses but I'm more than happy with my third party 24-70 and 70-200 f2.8, which were much cheaper even after a $500 cash back.

We also received that email and agree wholeheartly that it is hard to justify the cost of those nikon lenses when its your hobby only..... unless of course u win the lotto

I wanted the 14-24 but the price put me off so looked at alternatives. Then got the email and as my local camera shop already had this lens on special an extra $500 off was too hard to resist!
