Seeking advice from all the wise ones ....yet again :-)

    Hi all
............I have a brand new Canon 70-200 2.8 IS USM mk 2 and I can't seem to get it to auto focus when attached to my 5diii. I can manual focus no problem and the auto focus works perfectly when the new lens is attached to my 7d. I have been through all the camera menus looking for a setting that I perhaps have accidently changed but I can't figure out the problem. All my other lenses work perfectly when attached to the 5diii

    any suggestions most appreciated

    cheers Karen

I'm unaware of any setting that could cause that. You could try cleaning the contacts (both camera and lens) with some alcohol. If that doesn't work then call Canon and explain the problem to them.

I had a Sigma 150-500mm Lens that would not autofocus when on my Canon Camera it just kept on seeking, eventually i took it back to the shop and it went in for warranty repair, now works like a charm. Maybe there is some sort of calibration issue when hooked into the 5DIII(not sure how the lenses communicate with cameras)
