    New Gear

Well I splashed out for some new glass

before the trip I purchased the 16-35 2.8 and I am very happy with the results so far

Today though I "bit the bullet and purchased the 85 mm 1.8 after agonising over the 1.2 so far I am so glad that I have made that decision

whilst I was there I noticed some old filters on special and when I asked about them I was told that "we are clearing out the old stuff"

What did I end up with?

    Cokin Filter holders for 58mm, 72mm,77mm plus 2 x 197 filters, 2 graduated filters , 1 diffuser filter , 1 holder for the filters for $ 40

Now to have some fun with these particularly landscapes

    Any comments out there?

Hope we get to see some of your trip photos soon, or from this new gear, and some CC on other members work, or help with questions they have. Everything to date has been your threads, and wanting advice, so please starting giving something back.

Sorry I have not been able to post pictures to date but with work and being away a lot time is one thing that I am short of:-(
I will endeavour to contribute something to the site in the near future
I am still learning how to use the software to reduce the size of my files
    Cheers

Though you should have seen it in previous advise, http://bd-sizer.software.informer.com/3.3/ is pretty easy to learn.
Good going picking up that gear at that price.
