Fireworks

G'day Guys and Girls,

I am hoping to go and shoot some fireworks tonight for the first time. Anybody have any good tips on settings for a nikon D800 to freeze the burst shots yet still get all the clarity you'd like?

What time tonight are the fireworks?
Is it to late to help?
Do you have a remote release and tripod?
Quick, an answer. ISO 400, f/9, 1 sec. exposure and keep hitting the shutter button. Check the first couple of photos and maybe bring ISO down or shutter speed up. But what to do about focus?

The only reason its too late is they changed the timing and it was all over when we got there.

2-5 seconds (Depending on how much trail you want...
