Lens cups have been around for a few years now. First appearing as a promotional item from Canon for all the Canon pro's shooting the Beijing Olympics. Since that time they have been made in about every brand.

These cups are great if you have any friends into photography. "Hey, check out my new lens" and throw the cup across the room to them.
