I did it - I lashed out and bought a set of Lee filters (soft grad ND), the holder and a 77mm ring. God, they are beautiful things, you just cannot compare them to the Cokin Ps. Looks like I'll have a set of Cokin filters for sale real soon. I also have bought a 2nd 1D MkII N body, I love the first one so very, very much. It is just a joy to use. And I got myself a Vosonic VBP 8870 media storage thingy.

So yes, I've spent a lot of money lately. But, I am 56, I could put it away for my 'old age' in super or investments. Right. And what if I drop off the perch anytime soon? At least I''ll have enjoyed myself! And I still have a small but goodly sum I DO plan to invest. I've never had spare money to indulge my photographic yearnings before, so they are now indulged. I am going to start getting some prints up in a couple of local stores soon, so maybe I can start to develop a market.

My 70-200 2.8 arrived today from Gerry Gibbs Camera House online Store in WA.

I literally ordered this on Wednesday night after midnight and it was here via courier at 10am this morning !! Exceptional Service !!

The lens cost me $897 plus $15 shipping ... Exceptional price !!

And furthermore, any warranty issues can be dealt with at any Camera House store Australia wide ... Highly Recommended Online Store ...

Oh and i just ordered another Sony 42AM flash too ...

5. Sony flash adapter for Cactus V4s.
6. another 12x15 mini softbox for on camera flash

thats it now .. i promise .. well except for another body in a few weeks time

I just got delivered today, 25 Cokin A series filters that I got from ebay( from Canada). I thought they were 2nd hand ones, get them out of the box and they're all brand new! Bargain! just waiting on the 58mm ring and I'll be a happy camper

well the money was wired on thursday and the camera arrived today from shashinki.com in malaysia

the d300 is excellent. i can't wait to use the 8fps for shooting motorbikes. have a bit of learning to do, but it's been quite an easy transition so far. had to rejig the camera bag dividers to take two bodies.

Just got the Slik 700DX. Seems pretty rock solid. Pans nice and smoothly, but the tilts a bit jerkier than I'd like.

Just picked up a 24-105 L, what a beautiful piece of glass........ I was only going to try the lens and grab it in a couple of weeks. So much for that lol

I've also go this lens and it's big difference after using kit lenses that's for sure. You will like it and it has a decent range for the one lens to. Enjoy.
