I think it very funny that so many people feel like they need to show off their new gear. Just get out there are take photos with it!

People show off their new babies don't they?

It is handy to see what gear people are getting/ have gotten, especially if you are interested in it yourself, you can then ask them how they are finding it and get some real world feedback.
Not to mention, finding out about products you might not have seen before.

Also gives you something to do while you are waiting for the batteries to charge.
    Cheers, Lani.

New car? New house? New baby? New 'puter?

We all like to share our new toys - its one of the fun social aspects of life and the site - sharing with friends.
Plus if someone gets a new gadget we want to know how it performs etc.

I haven't tried it yet, this weekend is the test. I was inspired by Allan's Wimberley head, but they are over $1,000 - I decided to get this and try it for a while and see how I like it. It will get the real test when my 100-400 lens arrives (end July).
