Picked up another new lens today. Another L series to add to the collection. This one was the 70-200 f/4L USM.

Some stalk, some chase and some pursue... but I hunt.
I know the feeling.
I bought an EF-S 17-85 IS a few months ago, a 70-200 2.8 a few weeks ago. A 10-20mm, 400D, and a 30D in the past week.
A bit over $2k for all that (thank god I'm getting it 2nd hand!)
No big deal....except....
I'm moving out from home tomorrow!! Heck, I don't even have a new job lined up!! Not the best time to be upgrading my entire photographic kit :P
I really don't know what I was thinking!! lol....
totally worth it ;-) Looks like everybody's going to be getting photographs for Christmas now - I can't afford anything else!!
I got a 50mm f1.8 II today as one of my Christmas gifts. I know we still have over a month left but I could not wait especially after reading the topic on here about them.
I won a Sony S730 7.2MP camera in the Royal Melbourne Hospital Home Lottery.
Would have preferred the house really
And completed my stable of L lens with a 100-400mm

RAW post work done with Aperture 4 with image size done in CS5
I took a couple of shots last night and i am very happy with it.
First non-kit lens I've ever owned
The 100-400mm is in the stable and I rushed onto the balcony and shot a couple of 'quickies' for you.
The carp were amazing, they are really growing huge in this 'Creek' come River that is not flowing.
Well done, Dave and again congrats on the new aquisition.

canon 5dmk 2, some lenses, a couple of sticks to hold them up, a thing that make sun at night, and a sense of adventure
Just had this little fella arrive. It will give a bit more length to my 70-200 2.8 for the V8's starting tomorrow.
I am a bit annoyed though, I ordered a MB-D10 grip for the D300 6 weeks ago and Nikon have lost the order 3 times!!! The even specially air-freighted one and it didn't even turn up! This means I'm shoting the V8's without a grip. Not that I want the FPS, just that a camera with grip is far nicer to hold and I needed the battery life. /rant
(Excuse mobile phone photo)
cant wait to see hoe the shots from the v8's adam, have been contemplating getting the teleconvertor for a while now. And yeah i agree about the battery grip, just doesnt feel right with out it

Excellent news, Wally.
Great stuff Adam, though a shame about the grip.
Picked up a low actuation Canon 10D and battery grip last night, both of which are in pristine condition. This'll be my backup cam whilst the 300D gets its IR conversion and then will get passed down in the family when the 5D MkII arrives.
I got a Lowepro Fastpack 250 today, I was sick of carrying two bags around (work backpack and my camera backpack) so I decided to just get this and be done with it.
