Can't wait to get these grubby old paws on it mate!

This body is a huge step up for Olympus. Apparently it will shoot a burst of 77 RAWs before the buffer fills up, and will empty this about 3.5x faster than the E-M1 MkI. Every other feature is massively upgraded too. I probably won't ever use most of it ... There are certain features that I will use though.

Got my Olympus f/4 12-100 last Saturday (effective FL of 24-200).

First impressions are that it is more than just spectacularly good.
Certainly nothing like any other super zoom with which I am familiar.

My new custom strap arrived today despite a couple of delays thanks to our postal service who decided to send it to a different city after it arrived in Melbourne. Wanted this particular design because I wanted a strap that was removable because I only use a strap 30-40% of the time and it's one of the only ones with QR clips

I got a new lens - well, new for me ! LOL 35mm 1.8 - happened to be right place right time and got a 2nd hand one from a Professional Photographer with a common FB connection

Dietes grandiflora by Cathy Cates, on Flickr

one of the first shots - am happy with this considering it was taken at the worst possible time of the day and every time I tried to get a shot, the breeze blew LOL It might take me a little while to adjust to this lens - I will have to remember that if I want to zoom ...... I will have to do it with my feet

I received and tested my new softbox diffuser the SDMV s40 and I have to say, I'm REALLY IMPRESSED!!! It's one hell of a diffuser and while it will primarily be sed for my wildlife shots - I certainly see the potential in portraiture too

I see my name too many times on this last page so I'm feeling guilty about posting this, but I just purchased a Fuji XE2S as a second body and a Fuji 60mm Macro. 10 year wedding anniversary present to myself.

Along with my f/4 12-100, got my Olympus E-M1 MkII just before Christmas. Fantastic camera and lens. Been a bit busy lately ...

I accidentally bought a new X100T yesterday. I was casually minding my own business while doing washing, ironing and contemplating ways to end world hunger when suddenly, bling, a message on my phone saying I had won an X100T. I was confused. I didn't even know what an X100T was.

As far as I can tell, what happened was while I was focussed on ending world hunger, my 4 yr old daughter logged onto my computer (after she somehow bypassed my 256k encryption), logged into my eBay account, searched for Fuji X100T and purchased an almost new X100T with 4000 clicks on the clock and 3 spare batteries for a fairly good deal, and then paid using my PayPal token. Not wanting to be the bad guy in the equation given the seller did nothing wrong, I decided to keep the X100T and suffer the penalty for leaving my computer unattended.

It's a lesson for all you parents out there.

This time she is grounded. The last time I caught her online she bought two square metal hoods for my 23 and 35mm lenses

Sounds like it's for her own good. But, now you've got me worried my boy is going to buy a fuji GFX and then locate some second hand HC lenses for it.

Just ordered a monopod and head after handholding my 5DIII + 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 IS and 7DII + 70-200 f/2.8 IS II for two hours on Saturday night.

I went with the Gitzo GM3551 because I am tall and needed the height. Plus a Kirk MPA-2 tilting head.

Looking forward to testing them out next weekend.

you can train them to do it easily...but I'm still telling my wife it was an accident.

Canon 80D is now my camera. Got it this arvo. Only important settings left to enter are metering mode and focus settings. Some newer stuff to look at later also.
The 60D was my first DSLR and it's done a sterling job for the last nearly 6 years. A good back up camera now but time to move on.
The first time the battery is charging seems like an age.
