New speedlites arrived today!! Two x Yongnuo 568 EX ii and a pair of YN 622 C triggers.Even figured out how to use the manual settings on them. Couple of cheap stands and a standard and shoot through umbrella to play with.(after getting those out of the box I already know I will be upgrading them in the future)
And I get to post again! So I ordered a Sigma 105mm macro lens that was due to show anyday, went into the camera store as I was in the city to get a fish tank.Lens hadn't arrived but the backpack I got with the kit I started with was getting a little crowded,so I bought a Lowepro Pro Tactic 450 AW .I can fit the 150-500 Sigma attached to a body with plenty of room for lenses, accessories and other stuff.
On the way home I got a call from the store telling me the 105 Macro had arrived in the late afternoon delivery. So drove in this morning and picked it up.
Whilst I was there I made a full payment on another 700D body,(as they had none in stock),and was told that it would be here next week. Took the girls to the town pool, get home and a message on my machine from the store....The 700D bodies have arrived in the afternoon delivery!! Back to the city on Monday.
For some reason the staff there greet me by name and are very welcoming whenever I walk in.Also rubbing their hands together with dollar signs in their eyes.
CC always welcome.
Whoo-hoo-hoo!, I'd say!!
CC, Image editing OK.
I got my Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8 yesterday and took it too the beach today. Here it is enjoying the sun...

Well it is a long lens for MFT so it needs a long photo.
Cheers

Olympus Pen F with Metabones Speed Booster and Laowa 12mm f/2.8 or Voigtlander 10.5mm f/0.95 or Nikon D800 with the Laowa 12mm f/2.8. The need to keep in touch with the past is a Nikon Photomic FTn or Nikon F2A and a Nikkor 25-50mm f/4 AI
Thanks guys. I have had 2 plays with it. I took some shots at the beach, mainly surfing and today took it to the Candelo markets.
Overall, I am very impressed with the lens. Haven't noticed any problem with flare. The only negatives I find is that the bokeh could be better and the lens is prone to fogging if near moisture (a drink bottle sharing my camera bag caused condensation on the front lens). A few photos here...

Peter its good to know that about the moisture and that you are impressed with this new lens.
I see what you mean about the bokeh though #2 taken on f/2.8 looks ok. Thanks for taking the time to share these with us
Love that third pic of the ,well, close to my age fella.
Picked up my second body today and a spare plate for the Manfrotto,(I am a real freak for having spares handy),and a Black Rapid strap.
Been eyeing on this lens for a while, finally.

Just wondering - how many people here own a selfie stick?
I bought one late last year and don't hate me, but it's actually quite handy.
Not sure if there are any you can use with an DSLR, I just use my iPhone but it's surprising what new & interesting angles you can get on your photos & videos!
On the minor new gear, who whoo, scale, I just bought another battery and a battery grip. I hate running out of battery power.

As for the selfie stick, I like them too. How else can you get a good laugh when you least expect it
with people smiling INANELY at a spot a few feet away from their heads in the middle of the city!!!
