I'm not normally one to say this but, omg omg omg, just picked up my new EF 50mm f1.4 USM and cannot believe how good it is! Love the ultra narrow (compared to my kit lens) DOF and how crisply sharp all the images are! Slight CA when wide open, but nothing that can't be fixed in PP. I can see why everyone loves the nifty fifties!!!

I'm sorry, the photos it takes are so sharp, I cut myself and have been kinda scared of it ever since....
The Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 is a great lens. I wish the suppose to be improved version (the one with VC) would be at least as sharp.... sigh. Because it will kick the (IMO) overpriced Canon 17-55 IS into the deepest pit in hell!
LOL --- I agree its a super sharp lens, I love it and I find it even sharper than my 50mm 1.4 prime lens...

Avoid shooting with a 12 gauge shotgun. Use a Canon instead.

Your new toy has become very popular with pro photographers that want a pocket camera to take with them when they don't normally have a camera.
Even for us ordinary folk, it is such a sweet camera. Enjoy.

I have just added some backdrop stands with a telescopic backdrop rod. Good size at 2.7m high and 3.1m wide and a lovely fit for the 6m x 3m backdrops I picked up at PMA.
