Recently purchased sigma 150-500, but because it keeps raining, and I can not get out to use it ( why is it only fine on work days?) ..... I went out and bought a panasonic luminex Ft2 ...waterproof to 10m.... with current QLD weather.. might need that
I have this silly idea, that I should actually go and take photos with all this photography gear I have already accumulated, before I collect any more!

See some of my photos here.

Picked up a sigma 1.4 TC to go with my 100-300f4, I've only taken a couple of shots with it in the carpark, but IQ and focus speed seems pretty good.

Nice. What size negs does that do?
I like 120 film, only 10 shots, that means i get to develop the roll quicker, rather than going through 24 or 36 exposures with 35mm film

Spent a while micro adjusting it and both the 1.4 and 2 x converters then poked it up in the tree before i run out of light and found a couple of birdies

Very happy considering that's about a worst case senario. 2500 ISO, 2x extender with a 50% crop.

Look forward to trying it out in anger.
very nice. Is that the 2x II tc? How do you find the AF speed with the 2x on? I have the 1.4 which is quite good, but i have heard the 2x is significantly slower.

Scored a Nikkor 35mm F/1.8G for Xmas! Promptly discovered I'm hopeless with it.

Bought the wife a D5000 twin lens kit - quite an upgrade from her P&S. Expect good things from her - she's got a better eye for photography than I do.

I enjoyed a couple of drinks last night and somehow gathered up the courage to buy a new Nikon D7000, 17-55 f2.8 and SB-900 flash. Oh dear, lets hope I can still manage to cobble up enough change to eat over the next month

Just ordered a NextoDI Extreme 2700 500gb back-up drive online here in Korea. The 3M safeguard cover has arrived first, so I'm resigned to sitting here looking at that until the drive itself turns up.

Will be adding a few more things in the run-up to leaving Korea too I think. Need to take advantage of the cheap online prices!

Gees, if you only have to go without a decent feed for a month to pay for that you must eat at 5star restaurants a lot
