For poor light in museums, art galleries and the like, the f/1.8 25mm prime. A tiny little lens that weighs next to nothing, about 4.8 ozs. Pretty sharp.

Of course, an extra bag was needed ... This Lowepro Format 160 will take either body plus either my 12-100 and nifty "fifty" or my 12-50, 40-150R, 75-300 plus any of the other stuff we all carry. It's still pretty small.

I already had another backpack type bag that will take my entire mFTs kit - both bodies and 5 lenses. It is still pretty small.

Andy ( @Bensch) led me astray with his lovely photos of the red pandas at the Melbourne zoo, and I really needed (wanted) a small fast standard prime for low light stuff.

Plan to order a lens hood for the 75-300 and a self-opening lens cap for my 14-42 EZ pancake zoom in the next day or two.

Must be toy time after my cardiac atrial ablation ... .

I'm not sure who led who astray here, I seem to remember someone coming back to Adelaide and ordering more lenses and accessories

(sorry for late reply, have been offline last couple of weeks due to work)

Wasn't too bad, only the 30mm macro and the auto lens cap (managed to avoid purchasing that 12-50 Pro that I was looking at...)

However, picking up the Panasonic Lumix 100-400 next month, and still have my eye on that Olympus 300 f/4 (perhaps in July for my birthday)

Off Topic - back in Melbourne for a few days in April...would be great to catch up again

    Two items received today!

An Olympus 15mm f8.0 Body Cap Lens from my father, and I purchased myself a seat in an upcoming photo editing workshop by one of the local pro photographers.

Careful, Andy, your larger camera might feel neglected ... .

And it would be great to catch up again . Who knows, the pacemaker Santa is bringing me on 31 January might even make me feel better by then!

I've got a new Sigma 70-300 on order, but whilst perusing the second hand websites I picked up a Sigma 28-90 Macro and a 50mm prime for less than $100 total.

Seeing as I shoot Pentax which is like rocking horse poo at the best of times, I an chuffed.
    Pentax K3, K100D Super, Sigma 18-50, Takamur-A 28-80, Pentax DA 50-200, Sicor 80-200, Tamron 2X teleconverter

Wow, nice scores. May I ask which sites allowed you this victory?

I’m having a hell of a time trying to snag a canon macro lens. Grr.

    Try Cash Converters.......

The website currently shows 150-odd Canon related lenses, I'm sure there is something that will suit your needs....

Thanks Liney. Yeah, I have two I’m watching there and will pull trigger soon. Was hoping eBay might come to the party with cheaper options but I got outbid on the same lens twice yesterday, right at the last millisecond. Most annoying thing? It was the same user that bought both lenses. Two identical lenses. Grrr.

Might be someone who posts here, watch your email in case someone pops up to offer you one of the two....

Haha... that reminds me again of a ‘why not’ thread I’ve been meaning to post for ages and will do now!

I just bought a Nikon D7200 off Ebay which the title clearly stated "Body Only"... what a pleasant surprise when I opened the package, to discover a Nikon f1.8 50mm lens in the package as well...

(I carefully re-read the ebay description to see that, despite the Title claiming otherwise, the 50mm prime was also included )

(note to self... when selling on ebay ensure the title reflects the description, otherwise, those bidders might not push the price as high as they might otherwise have gone... )

I’ve been meaning to mention for a couple of weeks but like to test drive before I get too excited... but I recently purchased a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro lens for $300, delivered, from Gumtree. Delayed Christmas present.

Leading up to this I’d been bidding more than this and losing all eBay auctions, so to get it for that price delivered pleased me greatly. Couple of weeks in now and getting used to it... primarily as I only really use manual focus on it... but what a beautiful lens. Love it.

I only put in one bid on the D7200. I figured out my max price, and then waited until the last 5 seconds to put in my bid. No one had time to put in any higher bids

Haha, an eBay master, I see. Yeah, that’s what I do. For a few years there I was buying CDs more or less daily on eBay and found this was the way it operated. I just kept being outbid in those last 1-5sec by someone willing to bid more. There were two times with a second or two to go where I actually thought I’d won, lol.

Yeah, I was using the ebay app on my tablet, which buzzed everytime a new bid was placed. It buzzed about 5 times in the last 10 seconds, so i wasn't the only one trying that on that camera.
