I started out with a D80 and the Nikon 18-200VR , if you can get a decent 2nd hand version of this lens you won't go wrong , you might even be able to get a VR11 2nd hand for a decent price .

The D7100 looks awesome and as i have researched my next camera it will be the D7100 i have read reviews and done alot of youtubing on it and it's best money for it's buck... If you haven't bought the D7100 yet just wait till the end of the month coz the D7200 is coming out from what i have read..I don't know about the specs of it but it looks better than the D7100 so just wait a little longer if you can..
