    Nelson Bay Photography

    Hello,
I will be visiting Nelson bay in September this year & was curious to know about good photography spots to capture some good images.
Also, which type of gear will be needed to get good photos in Nelson Bay area.

    Cheers.

    Amit

Hi Amit. You're new here. Tell us what gear you already have.
It sounds like you're after land/seascape views. There are a few people from around that area on here
who may be able to help.

Like it has been mentioned , don't know what you have already to recommend anything... but too be honest " good photos " don't really come from what gear you have like you stated. are you looking for landscape, architectural, seascape or wildlife? these in there own right will require a certain difference between lens, filter etc. So maybe a little more info and we can help.

p.s maybe post a few pics up so we can see what kind of photographer you are

Off Halifax point, about 20m below the surface, used to give some great shots.

You'll need scuba gear and a water proof housing for your camera though

On a low tide, Brambles Rocks on the western side of Jimmy's Beach is amazing at Sunset.

Also the Singing Bridge in Tea Gardens at dusk.

There are dozens of beautiful locations at Port Stephens, not to mention, keep a lookout for the dolphins, they are absolutely everywhere.
