Don't feed the animals - feed Mongo instead

Yep, that's the message that popped up next to my name at top right.
I don't usually look at these little message things, but since I noticed it.

If ever you visit Mudgee Mongo, you're welcome to drop in for a feed. Being a country town there's lots of animals I can introduce you to.

I was once attacked by a Mongo, whilst on a fleeting visit to the harbor city, and it turns out that it's insatiable appetite is nearly impossible to satisfy!
Hence, I post a warning to ignore this message! ... for the sake of your personal safety .. do not feed the Mongo instead!
The message may have been a mysterious mutinous manifestation on the AP server to multiply Mongo's mastication mayhem!

you may all recall a time back when the moderators asked us to suggest some appropriate messages for that part of the site header. We Mongo made a number of suggestions. That particular one was , admittedly, very self serving. However, it was also at the same time, a very self evident truth that should be followed at all possible opportunities.

Mongo thanks Mark for his very kind but self endangering invitation. Still, Mongo would like to meet all of those animals you mentioned and perhaps a few dozen of their near relatives too.

Arthur lived to tell the tale but he was too small a snack for Mongo to be concerned about - besides, we had camera/lens speak to carry out. Mongo learned some time ago that despite all compulsions, it is not always wise to eat the massager of good news.

PS - Mongo thought the moderators were darn good sports to go with that one !

So, just a few moments ago, the system advised to drink a Shiraz. Than I clicked "mark forums read"... it switched to a hot chocolate? Now, I don't want to complain, but what should I do? These two don't really mix, do they?

I chose a nice Port in the end .

I've found that both Port and Shiraz go well with chocolate. A few grapes, a bit of apple, some nice strong cheeses, a few nuts .. and you're all set for the night.

I'm not sure if a hot chocolate would go well with either a Shiraz or a Port .. but I think in the end, you chose wisely
