New Zeiss Lenses

Due to the world becoming increasingly 'out of focus' these past few years, I have decided to get some new lenses.

I am getting two Zeiss AT Lisa Tri-focal lenses. Why do I need two? I have two eyes! They are IOL's, meaning they will be inserted into my eyes to replace my old worn-out cloudy lenses. Hopefully after the surgery I will not require glasses any more. I need about 4 different pairs at the moment. I suppose I could just get multi-focals, but have decided to go this way instead.

First surgery (right eye) is Thursday 26th, next surgery (left eye) is following Thursday 3rd July.

Don't think luck will have much to do with it!
Trust the people doing the surgery and do what they say afterwards. It will all work out then.

Well, stage 1 completed, I now have one new lens and one old factory fitted one.

The actual surgery was completely painless and trauma-free, the whole thing only takes about 10 mins.

My first impressions when the dressing was removed after 24 hours was that everything was very bright! Apparently it takes about 48 hours for the dilation of the pupils (otherwise known as large aperture) to go back to normal (i.e. stop down in bright light!). The other thing I noticed is that colours look cooler (more blue) compared to my other eye.

As far as improved vision goes, it is definitely better, but will improve a lot more over the next week, specially when my left eye is done too, at the moment things are a bit unbalanced. I am able to read fairly small print without glasses, but it is a bit of a strain, so I am still using reading glasses, they seem to help the left eye a lot more than they hinder the right eye (new lens).

Will report more after the next surgery on Thursday 3rd July.

Great news, glad everything went well!

It's now day 5 with my second new lens, and I have to say I am very happy with the results so far. My vision at close-up and long distance is excellent, and at middle distance (computer monitor viewing distance) is pretty good and improving day by day. Having both eyes working with the new lenses improved things greatly. Colours are brighter, and everything is much clearer.

If anyone has the need for cataract surgery I would thoroughly recommend multi-focal lens implants, your only regret will be not doing it sooner.

Why did you get Zeiss lenses? they're all manual focus. Sigma ART lenses would have been better
