Depth of Fielld and Hyperfocal Distance

I came across an app that might be of use to others.
You select your camera then put in your lens focal length. That gives you the hyperfocal distance for the lens.
When you want to get the depth of field you enter the f/# you will use and the focusing distance.

As an example, I entered Canon 600D with 200mm lens. That gave hyperfocal distance as 397.03 metres
With focus distance of 10metres it told me DOF was 9.76 to 10.25 metres

Then with changing the lens to 55mm
    Hyperfocal 30.06 metres
With focus distance of 10metres it told me DOF was 7.51 to 14.96 metres

If anyone knows how to figure out if this is accurate please do!

The phone app was free and I am not involved in its creation
