    Need admin/mod assistance?

    Hi everyone,

Firstly apologies for not being around much on the site since last Sunday. Due to a wanton act of vandalism, my internet, phone and mobile service is non-existent or flaky at the best.

Someone decided to try and burn down the local mobile tower and Telstra RIM. So I have not had home phone or internet at all since Monday, and mobile service is still very flaky. Originally we were all told we would get phone and internet back last Thursday, but now the revised date is not before next Tuesday. I can tether my mobile or tablet to my laptop and get online if I sit in a specific spot in my lounge-room.

So I will be online to setup things like the Challenge, Photo of the Week etc, but other than that, I will not be on AP much (due to data costs using mobile network).

If anyone has any issues that need attending to, the mod team are here to help.

I will pop in from time to time, and am also trying to keep an eye on my emails, so I will reply if you send me a personal message or email, it just might not be within the time-frame you were expecting.

Enjoy AP..I might have to go take some photos if the rain stops!

Constructive Critique of my photographs is always appreciated

Sorry to hear about your problems Rick. Hope Telstra get it sorted soon.

I've also been the victim of senseless vandalism recently. I awoke to my dog going ballistic and sat up in bed, looked out my bedroom window and saw this moron attack my new 4WD with a hammer, smashing my windscreen and drivers side rear view mirror. Mine was the fourth of five cars they damaged in my street. I'm at a total loss to understand what, if anything, goes on in their tiny little minds.
    Cheers

The closest library to me is the State Library in the city centre. They are not affected. It is fairly much limited to those of us in Cascades (between the brewery and the mountain)

Sorry to hear about the issues.
That'd drive me to begin an addiction I probably couldn't afford I reckon.

Life without net, nor AP .. whats the point?

Anyhow, Rick ... a good excuse to take a few days off, recharge the batteries, travel to the remote corners of the Tassie and get some photos.

Oh! and FWIW .. "next Tuesday" in Telstra speak means the Tuesday before Christmas!
(as I remember it, "this Thursday" is some sort of Telstra code for the first Thursday of next year)

Well it is an interesting weekend. along with no phone and no net comes no power. power has been off here for several hours now. thankfully the laptop hooked to the tablet should let me do the comp stuff at 8.30.

Understatement to say you will be glad when this is all over.

I am not so convinced that would result in positive time spent doing stuff in Ausphotography
