    Current Monitor of (reasonable) choice

    Greetings all,

It appears that I may have a monitor that is slowly carking it. When ever it wakes up, it seems to cause the GPU to go into a hissy fit and crash. While I thought the GPU was the problem, I have been running a different monitor today, which seems to be working fine.

Anyhow, I think it might be time to upgrade.

What do people rate as a good value for money monitor? Is it still the LG IPS range (EA53V)? Or should I be looking elsewhere?

    Cheers

How big? Dell have some very highly rated IPS monitors too.

    23ish would be great.

I think I'll go the LG. At least I can pick one up now.

OK, the deed has been done - A nice little LG 23EA53V-P is sitting on my desk. I did think of shelling out some more coin on a Dell ultrasharp, but to be honest, I'd rather spend the spare cash on a new camera purchase that I have coming up.

I'm really quite impressed thus far with the monitor. Once calibrated, images seem to have that extra pop, as compared to the old TFT.

Longevity will be the telling factor.

    Cheers
