Andy must be picking the State of Origin Team.
As an older Queenslander who clearly remembers pre-origin days, I must say it's nice to hear the blues whinging about not winning. There wasn't much sympathy coming from south of the border then, so there's none going the other way now.
I always loved the countryside around Tenterfield. The granite boulders and the little creeks, the weeping willows. The frost wasn't quite as welcome. Sitting in front of the fire in the pub was good too. Plenty of history about the place.
Bald Rock National Park, not far out of town has some amazing colours. Some really nice granite in the area, check out Mt MacKenzie lookout area and just a little further past it as well. Peter Allen came from there so there is the Tenterfield Saddler shop in town. I quite enjoyed Tenterfield photographically.
