    Got my D800E

I decided to get the D800E after having issues with oil on the sensor of my D600 and having no warranty as I bought the camera from Digital Discount Photographics before they went broke.

I have to say I love the D800E, it is just so much better than the D600 in every way. The image quality is mind blowing. I took the my camera out Saturday morning and in trying condition I managed to capture the sunrise when the sun popped out of the clouds for two very short minutes and managed to get a black & white that I am rather pleased with.

    Cameras: Nikon D800e & D750
    Lens: Nikkor: 50mm f1.4D, 14-24 f2.8, 24-70mm f2.8, 70-200mm f2.8, 200-500mm f5.6,
    Sigma: 35mm f1.4 Art, 85 f1.4, 105mm f2.8

That second one is a beauty!! I think the capture of the light and the BW treatment has made a moody scene that would be great on a wall.

    Cheers

Thank you all for your very kind comments. I am totally happy with my D800E in very way possible. I was concerned that diffraction was going to be an issue above F11 and did some test shot at various f stops up to f22, but to be hone unless you are pixel peeping you do not see it and given you can easily print at A1 at 50% it is not even worth bothering about. Totally incredible camera, if you have the funds and seriously thinking about getting one, I say just get it. As far as I can see the only down side is frame rate and given I don't shoot any sport or action it is not an issue for me.

By the way want to say a big thank you to Lance B for all of your post and comments about the D800E, they where all spot on and very helpful for me when it came to make the decision of whether to buy the camera or not.
