Video of how lighting can affect someone's face

Not sure if anyone saw this but it's pretty interesting to see as a video.

MM, I'm sure you meant well, but that video seemed more indulgent than instructive.

Video of how lighting can affect someone's face

Whatever the actual intended purpose of the video is, I think it's good for someone who has little experience with light to understand the impact that the direction of the light can have on a person.

I don't think the intention of it is a photographic lighting instructional.

Well, let's disagree, then, and see what others reckon. BTW, not many responses on the posting site were "interesting".

I am sort of in the middle. Yes it shows how lighting angles and colour can affect how the face looked, and it was interesting to watch. But as Am says, there was not instructional type information, so I think it could certainly make someone think about light angles, but that would be all. if they wanted to pursue lighting, there was nothing about the light sources, how it was created etc.

    I'm with MM on this.
It may not be instructional, though it demonstrates something reasonable easily. If it creates a photographic interest for someone, they will then go and research further instruction.

I quite liked it as a piece of video. Shows how a seemingly simple (?) concept can result in a fairly intriguing video sequence.
