The two Nikon's are officially announced, As per the Nikon Aus website D3300 is officially announced and the D4s is announced only as a development .. which basically means that it'll come some time soon, close to the Winter Olympics.

Also of note is Nikon's new AF-S 35mm f/1.8 G ... about bloody time too! been wanting a 35mm for a while, and while the Sigma f/1.4 looks to be really nice, and decently priced, I want cheap .. cheaper than cheap.
Hopefully not more than about $300-400 for Nikon's new lens .. any more than that is a ripoff .. which Nikon are world renown for! (so I aint holding my breath).

I saw the 3300 announcement posted somewhere as the D330, not the 3300. Got excited for a moment there.

Maybe there won't be a D300S successor after all.

Man, hope springs eternal and you live in it.
At 300 to 400 it would be a chuck out table / bargain basement item in the land of the god Nikkor so I wouldn't expect it to be any less than $999.00 drive away, no more to pay so that they can "just" slip it under the Siggy price of a faster lens.

Maybe we need a thread with a poll about future Nikon bodies in the DX line. Give me a few minutes ----

yeah ... just noticed the pricing on DPR's announcement and that's about what I actually expected to see .. $600-700ish, as per the 28mm .. but hoped for some kind of new strategy by Nikon ... of actually getting folks to consider their gear as reasonably priced!

Way too much money for a $300-400 lens!

Looks like it'll have to be the Siggy(for me) afterall .... some time(later).
