    kite or eagle or ..

I'm guessing this may be a juvenile Square-tailed Kite or maybe a juvenile Little Eagle. Take near Hornsby N.S.W.

These photos were taken by my brother and posted with his permission. (hope that's OK).
He and some neighbors just can't figure the ID.
    Cheers.

No doubt your brother will attract some CC, even though you're only asking for ID.
AFAIC, you've acknowledged the source and have given your reason or posting, so...
    Am.

    FWIW: I have no idea.

With that head shape and pattern on its wings it looks like a Juvenile Little Eagle to me.. It does not mean I am right though.

I moved your thread out of the CC forums. Site rules state photos presented must be taken by the member posting them. See Site rule 20.

However, as you have acknowledged you have permission to post it, I have moved it from the CC forums to F-stop, where it can get clarification on the species. But in general we do no allow photos to be posted by members, which they did not take.

Thank you very much for the ID Richard. My brothers suburban neighborhood (at least the people he speaks to there!) will be excited to have an ID.
And thank you for the tolerance Rick. You can delete this thread totally if you like.
