I needed to go through a different avenue for the download. I had to log in to my account and then download it from there rather than the link they sent me to after I had paid.

I have also bitten the bullet and am now paying $10 a month, instead of forking out over a grand for CSS and Lightroom.
Even if the price goes up to $20.00 a month next year, it's still al lot cheaper than buying them, and you also get all the upgrades for free.
The way I figured it, getting Elements updated every year or so would cost me more, and now I have the full-fat versions to play with.

I am also one that doesn't like to be controlled, but the deal seems to be a good one and I'm glad I hung out until the price became very attractive to me.
I may also need to get Premiere and a couple of other titles, but I can probably get these on an as needed basis.
All my photos are taken with recycled pixels.

I also signed up - liking it so far - and according to that FB discussion, there isn't going to be sudden price hikes (should screenshot that discussion)

I note the licence extends to two computers - does anyone know/have any experience in removing it from one computer to install on another? Or once you've installed it on one computer, are you required to use the licence on that computer for the duration of the subscription?

The new deal has different T&Cs
After that, the program will be available at $9.99 per month for anyone who owns a CS3 product or later. That special price is available until February 28, 2014.

    PE $9.99 still available https://creative.adobe.com/plans/off...shop+lightroom

For a limited time, you can join a special Creative Cloud plan. It includes access to Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5, plus feature updates and upgrades as they are available, 20GB of cloud storage for file sharing and collaboration, and a Behance ProSite. And it's just A$9.99/month when you sign up for a one-year plan, but you need to join by March 31, 2014.

Tried it, thought better of it, cancelled got my money back. Why one earth would I a stricly for my own enjoyment sort of photographer want to spend that much money on software just so I can get the latest and greatest. What i have now does more than I can cope with.

No problem if your old computer/software is still working - under help menu you select 'sign out', then you confirm.

I have a photographer explain that it reduces markedly the risk of counterfeits and that many programs like Office 365 will go to subscription only with time, so you are paying a licence fee and it lends greater control over the asset. I am toying with getting LR5 for my new computer, upgrade $100. Ot get the whole lot for $100 a year. Next year I might want to upgrade to LR6 or what ever, and it would be another $100, or I could keep paying my subscriptions, and have all the other jazz.

The other point about Cloud Servers is that I expect they are not really confidential, if that matters.

    Thoughts from users?

Just switched to this plan from a previous Photoshop Single App subscription at twice the price! (used for software development).

Was looking into Lightroom after feeling rather uneasy with Apple direction in photography software (iPhoto trending towards online collections, no local sharing any more etc. and the abandoning of Aperture).

So half the price, with lightroom included, a no brainer.
    Cheers,
    Scott

At work have a corporate policy that Cloud data/services must be Aussie hosted or we won't use it.
At least that way our data is under Aussie jurisdiction.
It works out ok as Amazon (AWS) and MS (Azure) have Aussie hosting, however not all MS services are available Aussie hosted.

We have asset management and CRM in the cloud; plus some other apps being reviewed.
