    Which wireless PCI or USB adapter

    I have an intel usb adaptor in my computer case which I think I fried.
    So, question is Which one is the best to go for now?

    This doesn't make a lot of sense to me at all, especially when the title is read in conjunction with the body of your message.

    I'm going to assume you really mean a USB host controller card with, say, 4 USB ports to be installed in what I also assume is a relatively old computer, since most new machines have plenty of ports on the motherboard?

    You'd need to specify which type of bus (slots) you have on the motherboard... PCI? PCIe?

    As for types, it really doesn't make any practical difference. A $6 no-name card will function just as well as something you're paying for the name for. If you have USB3 devices, you may wish to opt for a USB3 card, otherwise any generic USB2 card will suffice.
