New camera on the horizon, it looks like a good thing especially when it can take FT lenses as well as the uFT lenses. Just need to wait for a few more reviews and specs.

Apparently the focus speed with 43 lenses is similar to a Canon 70D on Live View. Not too bad, but nothing like your E5.

Also reportedly the continuous (tracking) AF is better than any m43 camera thus far.

I've read a few reports so far, the only one I've read that said af on 43 lenses was not so good was DPR and that is testing not real use, the real use reports it to be as good or better than E5. Also someone said that the models tested are not final firmware versions. We will have to wait and see what users report after release. What really disappoints me is the battery life "330 shots" and only 1 sd card slot

There's been some mixed user reports.
On the Ming Thein blog, he reports continuous AF being on par with the D200 generation, not too shabby.
But he also reports getting about 500 shots per charge (25% less than on the EM5) which means he gets into the 600's range for the EM5 which hasn't been my experience. I'm more in the 300-400 range.
He also reports the IBIS being a bit better whilst on Robin Wong's blog, he makes it out to be tremendously better. But Robin is now an Olympus employee although he has a solid honest reputation.

I don't know what to make of the EM1. In many ways its the camera I should've waited for since it solves (on paper) most of my EM5 annoyances. But it's also well into the advance APS-C camera price and size range which negates some of the m43 advantage.

It seems DPR has updated their AF report on the EM1 and is a little more positive this time.
Appears more in line with E-5's performance with some caveats.

There does seem to be a bit of mixed messages coming from the reviews so far, but most seem to be fairly positive. But I will still wait for a few actual user reviews. If there is no great improvement over the E5 with the 4/3 lenses then not sure I will bother at the moment. Having said that I do like the idea of then having access to u4/3 lenses and the slightly smaller body.

I picked up an EM-1 Pro kit yesterday (ordered in Oct) and though I've only had a little bit of time to play with it, IQ seems to be better than the Canon 60d and EF-S 15-85mm I sold to buy the EM-1.

A couple of example pics, no post processing (cropped the Crown picture).

I have had my OMD EM5 for almost a year and Im very happy with it, most of my photography is done underwater, I have a Nauticam housing that cost as much as the camera however I am very please with the results so far, I mainly use the 60mm macro lens and the 9-18mm wide angle, when I bought the camera it came with a 14-42 general purpose lens and a 40-150 telephoto, I don't use these very much as I find the other two lenses cover most of what I do, my next two lenses will probably be the 45mm portrait lens and then the 75 - 300 telephoto for bird shots when Im not diving.
