Ordered - Tamron 70-200 VC

Well like many other APers I have been going through hell recently deciding which 70-200 f2.8 to get. After much consideration I have decided to get the new Tamron. And, to make it better I was able to get it at an unbelievable cost locally instead of having to get one via HK.

I have a couple of weekends of dance comps coming up, so i'll be able to give it a decent go as soon as it arrives. I'll post some photos ASAP, I might even give my humble review of it.

Until it arrives, I feel like a little kid before xmas.

I like the 70-200 2.8 tamron , but still deciding between that and the f4 nikon , I'd like to know how you go with the weight? That's probably my decider as I'd like to be able to walk around with it.

I've just posted a quick review in another thread.

The first thing I noticed was just how comfy the tamron is. Nice weight and the collar and foot make a VERY good handle/stand. Compared to the Nikon 2.8, it seemed to be surprisingly better (feel that is).
