    Card speed for Canon 6D

    When I purchased a Canon 6D I also purchased a 32GB Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-1 card.
This card is rated at 95 Mb/s.
It works just fine, as far as I can see, but I have been told that it is "too fast" for this camera.

Is there a problem, and what would it be?

    Canon 40D
    16-35 L 2.8 11 USM
    24-105 L IS USM
    70-200 2.8 L IS USM 11

"Too fast"? I would take that to mean it's capable of much faster write speeds than the camera can do.
That's NOT a problem, though. There would be one if it were "too slow". OK, that would mean you'd have to wait longer.

In the manual for the 5DIII it says that although the camera does not comply with the UHS speed class standard UHS/SDGC/SDXC cards can be used. Check the manual for the 6D if that says the same.
So the card may be "too fast" but it does not hurt...

    Thanks for that.
Yes, I did check the manual and it says that this card type is compatible.
As it seems to be working perfectly, I don't see that there is a problem.

I think that the person who gave me the other info may have been mistaken.
