Yeah, saw that(news).

Sounds interesting, have marked a few Petzval lenses on ebay over the years, but they're damned expensive, and/or in a very bad state.

if they come in at about $400 for a regular lens, with no special markings, once they reach market, I might consider one too.(I'm not one for specials, specially marked, commemorative gear and suchlike).

Would have been nicer to have an internally selective aperture, say on a rotating dial, rather than the sliding/removable "waterhouse" aperture system.
