Very interesting post. I found a very similar post on the web a couple of yrs ago where the guy start with a perfectly good lens and slowly destroyed it. Started with minor scratches which made no difference at all then work scratches and so on until he eventually ended up with a lens such as the one in this link. It blue me away how bad a scratch has to be on a lens before it started affected IQ. Good post
