    The photograph I couldn't take.

I know but I simply couldn't get one.

About 15 minutes ago I was faced with what would have been a really good photo.

The sun was setting with a beautiful golden glow through the trees to the West and the full ( or one day off ) moon was climbing rapidly in the East and my immediate thoughts were -----

Where is that 6mm fisheye when you need 220 degree views?

I caluculated that but by the time I went far enough backwards with the widest lens I have ( 16mm ) I would have been 36.8 klm South and 232 metres deep in Bass Strait.

But that golden glow through the trees would have been eminently capturable...

Dunno if you could get a 16mm lens for the Nikkonos system .. otherwise look towards a aqua proof case for both camera and lens.

Mug behind, and operating the camera be damned! ... it's the photo that's important.

Actually disregard everything I just said, and change that too:

Zooming with your feet should be made illegal! .. if God wanted us to zoom with out feet, he'd have given us all 1200-1700mm legs(or feet)!
