    Problem with picture download...only partial.

hi all. Just trying to download different threads and the pictures in quite a lot only partially appear...the tops only. Maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the pic I can see. Any way to rectify this? Thanks in advance. It must be a simple solution?

what threads and photos? It could be they are hosted on another site flickr/photobucket/picasa or other, and the issue is at that site end?

Graeme, please explificate "download different threads". Do you mean text + pictures? Only way I can think is to print - usually as PDF - or are you saving as (some) .htm file?
    Am(not a little confused).

PS: Or, do you mean trying to "Save image as..." ? Ie, saving images only?

yes, the text is ok but the pic is a problem. Will go and look to find some threads that pose the problem.......Castle Point Lighthouse is one thread that will not fully download...flickr is the host site and I am finding also that when on the flickr site, I can`t see quite a lot of images...just wont display them. ....will talk to flickr about this though.

Perhaps you should go back and read #1 again Am.

Some of the Members on last week and this weeks Challenge seems to be having the same problems they cannot see one of the images at all.
Posted by the same Member both weeks, imageshack is the host site. I can see both those images and Castle Point Lighthouse.

I shoot with Canon And Olympus Cameras

What happens when you right click the photo : http://www.ausphotography.net.au/for...-lighthouse-NZ and select 'view image' (or similar depending on browser)? does that jolt it to display?

O-O-Ohh! Downloading, as in downloading. I get it.
(Note to self: downloading means "opening a".

OK all, I stand with slight slouch and cap at a rakish angle. (Corrected.)

thanks Am. Yes, downloading ..... I tried just a while ago and all seems to work now. Dont know what was going wrong. Will try Ricks right click method if it goes on the blink again.

Well, that's OK, Graeme. I sometimes have trouble downloading tight lids on jars now. It's not through lack of strength, but something related to "carpal tunnel", or tricky tendons. Any worse, and I'll call it "capital punishment". Happily, though, I can still download packets of cereal and milk containers, coffee jars. And I don't have much bother inserting and editing out bread in the toaster...
Am... (I have changed my stance to a less stooped one. But I will call that "sitting down".)
