Video on 50D - Magic lantern

"William" touched on this awhile ago, but just looked through this link.

Might be interesting for the 50D owners like myself.

Yeah I hear you, I just don't know if I'd use it. I have the Gopro now, and use it quite a bit, it handles beeing stuck to the bars on the bike, or the bonnet of the 4WD, not sure the Ol 50 would. LOL

Bill, what did you end up doing after the untimely death of the 50 D, weren't you looking at repair of 6/7D upgrade?

Works well on my 60D, especially the intervalometer part! Great for timelapse now! I think you can get magic lantern up to the MKIII now (though it would probably void any warranty).

I use it when I was to drag out the shutter beyond 30secs too - brilliant bit of firmware!

So Adam, apart from what you mentioned, is there any other benefits on the 60D?
I've tossed up using ML but can't make up my mind.

I use ML on my 50D. I've been playing with raw video, but the ability to bracket more than 3 photos for HDR, plus the intervalometer are great. I've just started playing with the motion detect and will give it a go taking lightning. I also want to try the motion detect where the sparrows and wrens come to bath.
