    I must be a potential fool too, because the D800 is on top of my wish list, and I'm a recent owner of a D600, which I am enamoured with.

    Ive also got a Sigma 70-200 2.8 OS APOGHFHQSomething and the 150-500 and a Metz flash on order.
    I want to try my hand at some bird shooting, hence the 500.

    Be interested to see how the 150-500 shapes up on the D800.

    With the 70-200 OS on the way, I'd have probably have gone with the Nikon 300 f4 and a TC-14E II giving a sharp 420mm.
