    lee nd grad filters

    hey guys

just wanting to know from whoever uses lee filters which stop they would recommend

i wish i had the money to buy the nd grad sets but i dont as i have to buy the foundation kit and the adapter ring.

i was thinking that i would get the 0.6 soft edge and the 0.6 hard edge to start off with. would this be the right way to go about it?

your help in this would be great.

Foundation kit comes with a .6 hard if memory serves right. I have the set, and although don't use them often, I would use the .9 (3 stop) more than the .6, but that is without a CPL.

I just bought the starter kit and wide angle adapter ring. The starter kit has a 0.6 hard gnd and a 0.6 nd. I'll buy more it the future but the 2 I have, do the job at the moment.

I can't say enough about the quality of the glass Lee filters!! I love em and there isn't even a hint of vignette @ 16mm!

Yeah, 0.9(if that's the 3 stop terminology for them) .. I have the starter kit and it came with a 1 stop 2stop and 3 stop, all soft.

Only extra I had to purchase was the adapter ring.

Definitely the 0.9, and if I only had to have one grad in my bag I would keep the 0.9 REVERSE grad over the others :-)
