    Cactus V4 or V5?

    Hi

Been looking at these.. need advice as everyone is saying to use the V5, having said that the company says the V5 does NOT transmit TTL information (which I find hard to beleive).

So my alternative would be a Cactus V4 I guess. If anyone has been through this drama but has found that the TTL does work on a V5 would love to hear from you as I am new to this but after a Pocket Wizard I know these are great and need a duo set VERY soon.
    Cheers

I have the V5's Warren. They don't do ETTL. Manual only.

I use RF602's. I haven't had a need to upgrade and never missed firing. I purchased them for use with Canon but am now using them with my OMD EM5

Have a look at the new yongnuo RF 622 triggers.

Yongnuo 622c works for Canon only. Try Pixel King for Nikon wireless TTL flash trigger.

Not sure about the V5s, but the V4s are not good when compared to the YN603Cs I've been using the last 12 months. They have had a much better hit rate.

I have the V5's. No ETTL. I found I had to use a lead between the trigger and the camera as when connected to the hotshoe only I had many failures. Other than that they worked ok. No high speed sync either.

Another vote for the yongnuo triggers. I had the cactus v5 and moved to these for full TTL and remote control from the camera body. They work faultlessly and am considering 2 more.

They also sell sense as transmitter or receiver so no need to set. The real benefit for me is the yongnuo triggers allow me to do all adjustments on mounted flash units from the camera with no need to go to the flash. Additionally the will wake a flash up if it has gone to sleep mode. Great triggers for the price.
