One thing I will add that he doesn't touch on is to be very careful when cleaning these multi layered filters, they are very easily damaged. Don't use any chemicals, just a clean, good quality microfiber cloth and be very gentle.

Good article. I've got a B+W 10-stop circular filter, which I haven't really used as much as I should. But I'd love to get a Lee Big Stopper one day.
