The April 2013 Photo of the Week Mini- Series themes

With March underway and the March mini-series of themed competitions starting tonight with the theme "The Sensor Series" and some great prizes up for grabs, see here for more details, it is time to announce the April themes.

We are announcing the themes in advance to encourage you to take a NEW photo for these competitions rather than using one from your archives.

Sun 31st Mar - Open competition

April 2013 is The elemental series
    Sun 7th Apr - Earth
    Sun 14th Apr - Air
    Sun 21st Apr - Fire
    Sun 28th Apr - Wind

Looking forward to seeing your entries in the current March "The Sensor Series' competitions and hope that by providing you with advance notice of the April Mini-Series and weekly themes, you can plan and take a great entry for each competition.

When I saw this coming up I started thinking about some 'different' ways to capture the elementals, but I appear to have come unstuck with.......'Water'! (Mind you, I am also stuck on 'Earth', but that is another matter!).
I thought the 4 (Classical Greek) elementals were:
    Earth
    Air
    Fire
    and Water.
(Aristotle added 'Aether' as the fifth elemental and the Tibetans, Hinduism, Buddhism and Janism also have Aether)
Only the Babylonians had Wind ( Earth, Sea, Fire, Sky, Wind).
Think I will need some 'out of the box' thinking for Wind....but then, that is what this is all about isn't it?

Exchanging Water for Wind was a little bit evil

However, for us leftist, feminist, slightly hippie females, Tarot is a piece of cake , cheers Deb

hehe. I am not making it that simple. When I said Tarot, I meant specific cards...
