Update: I have tried to fix the site time but the server keeps giving me an error when I do. I then realised the site time is not just out, but also its not changing. The time is sitting on UTC+11 (the correct Eastern Aus time) but it is saying 7.48PM and not changing from that.
I have contacted the hosting company to get them to investigate. It could be something as simple as the on-board BIOS battery for the server has died, as it controls the basic server boot information, including maintaining the server clock.
Hopefully we will have this resolved shortly. In the meantime, enjoy posting everything to the site at 7.48PM.![]()
*Note this thread has posts out of order due to time freezing issue*
The site time has been corrected. However there will be an anomoly for some posts to the site. The time is registered alongside your posts, in the site databases, thus those posts that occurred while the time was stuck will appear out of order and all show 7.48pm. So please bear this in mind when looking threads etc, cause it could cause some odd side-effects to post chronological order etc.
Apologies everyone. We are still waiting on the hosting company to investigate and advise a reason. The server was restarted overnight, not by us, but also the hosting co did not inform me that the server was going to be rebooted for any reason. But that alone should not have caused the time to get stuck, so we are asking them to investigate it further.
