    Penrith and buying photographic stuff?

In 2 weeks I'll have a weekend in Penrith.
Any recommendation for good places to buy lens, filters and some other bits and pieces in or reasonably close to Penrith?
Sometimes second hand is OK even, so any good hock shops?
Otherwise the w.w.w. will be my option.
    Cheers.

I am not aware of anywhere camera specific, and the only likelihood of buying things camera related will rest at JB, Hardly Normal et al.

You only have one camera store in the plaza which is Penrith Kodak Camera Centre and they are a bit pricey. Then you have JB HI FI and Harvey Norman. Camera House is gone. So if you want buy anything you will have to go between Parramatta and the city.

Penrith Camera House is gone. There is a Camera house in Katoomba which gives the the chance of doing a bit of sight seeing, Penrith plaza has a camera shop downstairs but I find the range a bit limited. Parramatta is your next option. cheers

The Camera House in Katoomba is normally not competitive, so may not be worth a stop. They have a website, if you would like to check anything.
