But is it true? And
sounds so hopeful (notwithstanding the misspelt "posses" (sic)). And where do they fall?"These ions will, in turn, neutralize any static charge that your camera may posses, allowing dust particles to fall away."
Perhaps thought of before and shelved as unlikely. (???)

CC, Image editing OK.
$130? Will it leave a gouge on the sensor, or just my wallet?
Only the wallet, Warbler.
@Am - the reason I thought it a good idea was that it's really just a rocket blower (no physical contact with the sensor) but with the added advantage of neutralising specs held in place by static that the RB can't remove. I'd be willing to give it a go, even at $130, to see if it worked.
There you are .. found you again.
( I was going to reply the other day, but I'd lost the thread .. and then Alzheimer's set in, and ... well it got worse from there on.
Anyhow, Waz .. they have thought of this before ... something called the Zeeblower or whatever.
That's it .. (sorry found it via googly)
Zeeion blower thingydoodlewhacker.
Been around for about a couple of years I think.
How good it is, dunno
Of course you'll find someone that swears by it, and others that will tell 'ya it's a waste of ions .. and so forth .. etc.
Nuffin' new under the Sun, eh Arfur?
Interesting, if it works.
